Policies and Procedures Subgroup

The LSCB Policies and Procedures subgroup will:

• Inform and influence the development of all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Ensure there is clarity about thresholds for intervention where there are concerns about a child's safety. This includes concerns under both S17 and S47 of the Children Act 1989 i.e. both regarding children in need and regarding children in need of protection
• Lead the development of protocols for the sharing of information
• Ensure clear procedures to ensure the safety of children who move between Local Authority areas
